Lew Marcus was a singer and pianist who could play over 2,000 songs per request on the spot on piano. His recordings range from all-time classics, to driving ragtime to boogie-woogie, swing, ballads, rumbas, and honky-tonk. Lew often played out of Chicago, including radio stations WMAQ and WCFL. He also was a songwriter, including “I'm In Love With Someone (Who's Not In Love With Me)", first recorded by Jimmy Dorsey. He was called "The Show World's Favorite Pianist" per advert in 1944. |
