BMG International founded in January 1994 BMG Venezuela, a t venture between BMG and Rodven Discos, previously a BMG licensee. This t venture lasted for 2 years when Rodven Discos was acquired by PolyGram Records.
After this, BMG Ariola de Venezuela, S.A. opened for business in January 1996, based in Caracas, and in addition to establishing sales, marketing and promotion staffs, the company has begun to build a roster of local artists. Todays is part of Sony Music Entertainment Venezuela C.A.
