I have all 40 'History of rock' LPs in Near mint condition. Seemingly unplayed so as near mint as possible.
I live in Leicester and as they are heavy collection would be bast though could sort out couier if needed.
I'd be looking for about £100 for the set

Does anyone know what the quality of these releases are like? Obviously the songs are great but are these good pressings or just convenient compilations?

Can anyone provide me with the ACTUAL release dates for each of these 40 albums? It would help greatly with my archiving.
I do seem to recall that they were not issued in consecutive order, Thanks.

Looking for the complete lp set of all 40 volumes of lps, magazines with binders preferred but not essential. Please email me if you have these for sale.

The lp collection was ambitious but obvious towards the punk era that a few of the essential artists such as the Sex Pistols wouldn't suit the family audience series aimed to be. Would be interesting if it carried on until 2000 to see volumes on brit pop, grunge, house music in all its forms etc. Alas never to be unless some marketing exec sees this and has the idea to do it now with the current vinyl resurgence.

I have the complete vinyl collection including the single by buddy holly which came free at the time with Volume One 'Elvis Presley'. Also I have an accompanying 10 volume encyclopedic collection which was an optional purchase to compliment the Vinyl collection. These were collected as a Bi weekly or monthly supplement I think but cant . I also purchased the binders to house the supplements. Each Binder came with a gold square sticker with a dark blue numeral to add to the spine of each volume as they built into 10 volumes. Each binder contains approximately 12 supplements, in total approximately 120 supplements. In their design they did not allow for the indexes to be part of each binder but I took them from the back page and slotted them in the front of each volume. The downside to this collection is because like the LP sleeves the binders are white and the spines have yellowed with age, while the front and back are still white with an indented design of two crossed Guitars on each cover. All their contents are in perfect condition. None of the vinyl has been played and all LP covers are still white with the exception of Volume one which again because it's a white cover has some slight yellowing on the front because it was exposed at the front of the stack of 40 LP's. I am willing to sell this whole Bundle as it stands in it's complete entirety but will not sell as separates.
