No way this was cut by Bernie Grundman, it's on the Victory label, so almost definitely an unofficial release. Credits must have been copied from the 2020 release. May still sound quite good if reviews of the Victory release of Pacific are any guide. -

Is this listing for the 2025 white/grey marble vinyl release? -

Absolutely phenomenal pressing. Clear as a whistle. The sound is crisp, open with a rich and wide soundstage. No noise whatsoever. 100% recommendation on this. Up there with the very best vinyl pressings I’ve ever heard -

I was wary this gimmicky colored pressing would have an influence on the sound (noisy translucent LPs have been well documented since they exist). Now i finally got the chance to hear it, i must say i'm very pleased. This thing sounds great & is almost noise-free.
As for the quality of the product:
- on the positive side: record arrived flat, i'm glad they didn't indulge in a gatefold but focused on giving us this nice booklet.
- on the negative side: the recent Great Tracks reissues are a bit disappointing when it comes to the covers. No more tip-on jackets like on others they did a few years ago... -

as someone who's only listened to this on MP3 before this pressing really blows my mind. the music comes alive! it's like Hosono's in my living room! trying to take me on a weird trip I'm not quite sure about!! -

Seconding all the comments about sound quality. Truly excellent. The pressing also includes a really cool mini booklet with lyrics, track credits, extra artwork, and an interview with Haruomi Hosono. My only knock is that the jacket isn't the usual heavy cardboard I've come to expect from Japanese pressings, but overall the quality of everything is still very high. Obi design is gorgeous too. -

Echoing the sentiments of other s, this is the gold standard for vinyl production. Sony Japan, you guys are better than Pallas. -
This recent Japanese reissue on clear vinyl is perfectly flat and sounds excellent: Haruomi Hosono - Omni Sight Seeing

Unbelievably good vinyl quality. Lowest surface noise on a record I've bought in the past 30 years, and possibly ever.
These Sony pressings coming out of Japan really are something special. -
