this version of jubilee street is worth to buy it alone...i saw it first on yt and it kicked me instantly. wow, what a great dynamic performance. it was the startpoint to check nick caves music more intensely. i would love if there were a ful live album of that concert including a dvd/blue ray, it was filmed properly.
i got the only, so i can't comment the pressing. -

guess I got lucky, my copy sounds quite nice. had the same good luck with my first pressing of skeleton tree which many people also had issues with. great performances of some of the best songs from the recent tours. it is a shame that the relatively stripped-back KCRW record is the only full live release from the post-push the sky away era as the bad seeds continue to be one of best live bands around.

Edited 5 years agoShitty pressing as already stated many times below. Wanted to sell it immediately until I heard From her to Eternity. Fantastic version and due to the heavy nature of the song you can‘t hear the damn crackles.
EDIT: cleaned it on a professional record cleaning machine. Sounds significantly better. Still far from being perfect though. -

Edited 6 years agoBeautiful performances marred by a shameful vinyl pressing. Bad Seed really needs to get their shit together in of the way they press their records as they are consistently subpar. A lot of the problems lie with these stiff and hard cardboard inner sleeves that scuff the hell out of the records right out of their jackets. Thank christ they include the MP3 codes, I guess.

Edited 6 years agoThe B side of my pressing is off center. The arm moves about 5mm in either direction as it's playing. I exchanged my first copy and the second copy is the same. Not very noticeable on From Her To Eternity, but very noticeable on Mercy Seat.

I was at this show. It was a great show. The sound was awesome, especially considering its a large venue with 16.000 people. But for me personally, it was too big. I prefer Cave in much smaller venues. I have seen them live for the past 20 years or so, and Cave is best when you can get close. The intimacy with 1500 people is where Cave is at his best. You want him close, you want his band close, the stories, the music...
