Lee Scratch Perry fan? This is a must-own compilation, every track is a gem. -
Great compilation including "to be a lover in dub" tune feat. Augustus Pablo and early Black Ark material as River To Cross and Take Warning and Sons Of Negus.
If you like Perry's work just grab it ! -
Lee ' Scratch ' Perry made his name as a producer for reggae-artists like The Upsetters, Bob Marley, The Heptones and countless others. If the work of a producer a compilation cd appears says much about his status. The influence of this sound magician on the development of the reggae was great. In addition, Lee Perry at least as well known for his eccentric personality and a comparison with other legendary producer (Phil Spector) intrudes on. at the aptly named Divine Madness ... Definitely we find an excellent selection of work that this genius delivered crazy in the first years that he operated in his self-built Black Ark studio (1974-1977). By weird sound effects to add to the original reggae he lay at the base of the dub-reggae. On the second cd is a radio interview with the legend. Must-see for reggae lover!
