Similar to other early mono pressings, this one is mastered too hot, with distortion at times. I was hoping for RVG-style sound, and unfortunately this doesn’t have it.

Get a clean copy and you will not be dissapointed.

This enjoyable and great sounding record can NOT be from 1962.
Look at the back cover: Dolphy's 'Last Date' was released in 1964!
So my guess is: this (and possibly the other blacklabel) release is from 1964.

What a complete lunatic and also master of his craft Roland Kirk was. This is a great record and I would recommend it to anyone who likes their jazz with a bit of bite.
