Prurient said this is his favorite album of all time. sounds like a pretty try-hardy answer, but i diddd drop $8 on it for that reason. bottoms up

found this in the back of a comic book store my girlfriend took me to. no price tag or anything. brought it up to the counter, the cashier shrugged and said "probably, like, 2 bucks." so i got it.
this is one of the most interesting records i own, notably because well, it isn't music. 's just rain. it's pretty old but it holds up really well.
the back of the sleeve is fascinating to me. there's no artist listed anywhere, but it's clear that this project was a labor of love for someone. it's very humanizing.
love this little oddity. -

Actually NO music on this LP, just natural sounds...You hear surf, thunder and rain for a half hour on side 1...The other side of the album is just light rain hitting the pine needles in the forest along with some other natural animal sounds now and again (Synthetic Silence)...Assume the producers wanted folks to turn out the lights, crank up the stereo, and settle back for an audio trip to nature...for me, it's just plain old sound effects... -
Get this record for your turntable and you can explore your inner thoughts and self. Outstanding field recordings of 2 different styles of rain. Can be used for Relaxing, Therapy, Creative Production, Etc. enjoy

My copy of this had an invoice/receipt from Eddie Bauer in the sleeve. Sure enough, this album and vol. 10 were listed. I never knew you could buy records at Eddie Bauer, at least in 1985. They were $9 each.
