Edited one year agosounds and music is really good, nices highs with the bells music is done wonderful but we got a Poppy noisy pressing I mean it was like we were listening to a fire place too bad great looking green translucent vinyl, I'll try another run through the Spin Clean but I don't have my hopes up
-
To anyone who has this reel tape: despite what the box might say, it *looks* like the tape only contains the four songs, and not Boris Karloff's narration. Is this true?

Sounds great, I bought it while it was on clearance this summer for $4. Can't wait to play it this holiday season. -
Great album with Boris Karloff narrating. Cool translucent green record that is fun and great for holidays with kids!

This version is just awesome. The grinch-green is the best part. But of course the content is exactly what a fan of the Original TV special would want and expect. My copy is flat, and there's no surface noise. Perfect to be played every Christmas season! -

Another Target impulse buy - I'm very happy with this! Beautiful green color and no surface noise to speak of at all. Looking forward to spinning this every holiday season! -

Yes watertower music. Also this is quiet pressing an flat. Nicely if not unexpectedly well done. -

Pretty great pressing and the Green matches The Grinch very nicely. While I enjoy spinning this I really prefer the versions which have the story on one side and the 5 full length versions of the songs on the back side. -
Audio fidelity is spotty, but if you've watched the cartoon in HD, you've probably heard much of the issues already (why does Boris Karloff sound like he's speaking into a can?).
If you love the cartoon, this is basically an audio narration of it. It can be fun to treat the record like an old timey radio show and have everyone gather around & listen during the holidays. But don't pay $50+ for the record from flippers, the sound quality doesn't justify the price. -
This 1995 cd soundtrack 314-528 438-2 follows the record album soundtrack of 1966. The cd, though, is not quite the complete soundtrack. Not including the extra's, it's only 21 minutes and the cartoon is 26 minutes. One important part missing is that of Cindy Lou Who as played by June Foray. Otherwise, if you miss the annual TV showing, this is a good replacement. Includes liner notes.
