Sides 1,3 & 4 are great, no issues, but side 2 has unacceptable crackles. I can't understand how, in a modern world, the factories producing such items are allowed to put them on the market. Because we PAY for something brand new which "behaves" like a second-hand record. It makes me mad! Otherwise, the quality of the sound itself is not at stake.

I had to end this by the end of side one, I actually found it quite painful to listen to, it just sounds like levels and tone controls are being randomly raised and lowered throughout the mix, there's something very wrong here.
The soundstage is the best thing about it, the rest deserves to go in the bin.
Clear no from me, just can't get on board with this at all.

While I agree that the master sounds a bit dull in comparison to the original pressing from 1998 or even the more recent re-releases, the cover comes with very thick cardboard and the actual vinyls are not only clean but you don’t hear any surface noise whatsoever.
I’ve played the records on my Technics 1210 MK2 using an Ortofon Concorde Music Black LVB and a preamp with 50pF capacitance.

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. I have all vinyl versions to date and they each leave something to be desired. My expectations were high for this release. My first listen left me disappointed, but upon reexamination I find the soundstage and instrument separation quite impressive. Bass is booming, but more focused, maybe even more realistic if you will. Some songs are better than others. I wouldn't say it sounds incredible, but it sounds great and if you love this album you should pick it up. Note - you need to really crank up the volume.

Well I honestly don’t want anyone to take my word for it and I steer them in the wrong direction, but I listened to this twice and compared it to the cd and I just don’t agree. I know it can be system dependent( before anyone asks, project debut III, Ortofon 2M Blue and vintage JBL speakers) and I have EQ flat. But it does not sound muddy to me in the slightest. It is very bass heavy but so was my previous copies, and yet it still doesn’t overpower the clarity in my opinion, and has so much more open soundstage, at least on my system. And I’m no Mofi protector. I’m very selective with MFSL releases and I usually prefer AP or Impex when it comes to buying a reissue. But as it stands I’m very happy with this release as an Alanis fan and hope Jagged Little Pill sounds as good one day.

Lifeless, muddy, and dull. I don't really buy new pressings anymore because they frequently disappoint; took a flyer on this one because I love the record and it was MoFi. Probably won't do that anymore. Save your money.

I tend to agree with surefirewinwer, this one was a disappointment. It lacks so much detail that I have come to known and expect from Mobile Fidelity. I don't have an original to compare too but I imagine it sounds better than this one.

I am so massively disappointed in this underwhelming release. I own all of the presses known for this masterpiece album, and this one, I believe, is the weakest link. I usually love Mofi releases so this was a massive let down. This is my favorite album of all time. It has been since 1998. I dont know if it is just my copy or if this pressing is just a mess. I do not hear anything that was described in the notes detailing the process they put masters through. This sounds the farthest from Audiophile. I know this album very well and it sounds dull and lifeless here. The mix is all over the place. Could I have a bad copy or is it really just a garbage release?

Has anyone compared this to an original US pressing? I’m debating if it’s worth the upgrade. Thanks

average mastering and sound quality on this 1 not bad but not the best either but 2 be fair im sure chris bellman did best he good with whatever digital file they gave him to cut this from .
