Billy Nomates – Cacti

This struggled a bit with the bass on one or two of the early tracks, but overall this was a good quality pressing. Loved the inclusion of an intro on each side that aren't present on streaming, more artists should do stuff like that for physical editions.

After being a huge fan of her incredible debut album in 2020 and the follow-up ep named "Emergency Telephone (2021) immediately, I felt that "Cacti" (2023) was a bit of a let down. The songs and also herself don't sound and don't look as authentic as before. Billy is wearing makeup and designer clothes now, and the songs appear to be more contrived. It is hard to put it in words, but there is something I am missing here. I also think, that in her fourth year that karaoke performance looks worn out. The raw and authentic appeal of her first two years has become a trademark and gets delivered to a mainstream audience that squeals with pleasure. Billy Nomates is a terrific talent, but her recent development makes me feel sad somehow.

Great album, terrible pressing with many loud pops throughout, even after cleaning.

My lp came without lyrics sheet. Anyone had this problem?

top tunes .. worth the price and more .. huge step up from the great first lp

Great album, sound is okay, but this vinyl version has a lack of loudness and the press quality is rather beneath average. I wait for the black version to buy, maybe it is better. Package is nothing special, just a lyric sheet is added. Not much for that price. The two spoken intros from Iggy Pop are vinyl only bonus. Thats cool.

I love this album but why are the intros not included on the digital album?
