Vince Guaraldi Quintet – A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (Original Soundtrack Recording)

I think we can all agree that what we have right here is the best of the bunch, as well as the best Linus and Lucy…at least so far!!

Just picked up today. Quiet pressing, sounds perfect to me!

Phenomenal. In every way, get it. 11 out of 10. If I have any grip with this album it’s touted as a thanksgiving album. This isn’t strictly a holiday play by any stretch. This is some year-round 70s jazz groove at its best. Period.

Great pressing. Dynamics are spot on. Quiet in between tracks and in the mellower areas. Definitely with picking up a copy.

Thanksgiving has always been my least favorite of the major holiday Charlie Brown specials, and I never really appreciated the music in it until now. This is a fantastic release and showcases Guaraldi's evolving sound. As with the most recent Great Pumpkin release, I enjoy the studio outtakes and alternate takes. The pressing is clean and sounds great. My copy is flat, no warping. I liked it so much I sent one to my cousin.

Target and Lee Mendelson Film Productions certainly got the aesthetics right - it looks like a slice of canned cranberry sauce!

Amazing that this setup leaned into fusion on this one and took the classic "Linus and Lucy" to an entirely new level with a bigger band, a trumpet solo, omg. There's a freaking Moog on the Fife and Drums Theme! Get this!

Fantastic. Dynamic soundscape and the music has a real nice groove to it. This is not the Charlie Brown Xmas special here. More of an adult jazz sound, almost ‘70s fusion, especially side 2. This is a must own if you’re a Guaraldi fan.

INCREDIBLE pressing and IMO the best soundtrack out of the bunch. No holiday generic stuff here. Pure jazz. Love it.

Love this album! Lots of smooth jazz and classic Charlie Brown songs with a twist. 70’s vibes for sure! Great find!
