The Rolling Stones – Metamorphosis

The US edition of Metamorphosis doesn't include We're Wasting Time and Somethings Just Stick In Your Mind, which are part of the UK edition.

Such an underrated collection of rare stones tracks. Deserves a lot more love than it gets.
Avoid the US pressings as they stink. Try and get a UK or Euro press, they sound light years better.

Great pressing and nice t-shirt transfer. cool idea. The sound is very good, full and detailed for the age of the songs. Seems that they remastered it very well. I didn’t expect that.

Hodgepodge collection (including some real gems) of outtakes/other versions/demos assembled by Allen Klein & unearthed for the first time covering a 5-year time span w/ no real unifying sound. An okay release that has its good moments but probably only of interest to hardcore Stones fan or completists who have most of the Stones' 60s output.

• DON'T LIE TO ME is very good and was done by the Pretty Things as a Chuck Berry number
• I DON'T KNOW WHY (a great re-creation of a tune Stevie Wonder did)
• IF YOU LET ME is good indeed in a Renaissance way (like LADY JANE and SITTING ON A FENCE)
• JIVING SISTER FANNY (with purely rhythmic interplay between Mick & Keith)
• FAMILY is quite interesting, with great bass from Bill (the slighted Stone, and one of the greatest bass ever, with Jack Bruce, Rick Danko, Andy Fraser and Noel Redding) ;
• I'M GOING DOWN, nearly as good as STREET FIGHTING MAN.

Anyone know why somethings just stick in your mind was left of this pressing??!
