Arthur Russell – Another Thought

This is honestly one of the best pressing I think I’ve ever heard.

Wow! So perfectly clear and quiet. Nothing that interferes with his voice and vision. A compelling listen.

Echoing everyone else here (well, almost everyone) - wonderful pressing. What a labour of love, this is the definitive release of this tender, heartfelt album

Like others have rightly said, the pressing is a thing of wonder, bewith records have done an incredible job with this reissue. Still available Jan 22 straight from bewith records.

Stunning pressing and master. This is right up there with AP in of clarity, dynamics and a dead dead silent pressing. Everyone involved it this release should be proud of themselves, it's fantastic.

Talk about a pressing done right. Dead quiet, gorgeous reissue. Delighted with it, don't hesitate.

This is the third BeWith reissue I’ve bought in recent weeks and once again it sounds outrageously good. For me this label is a shining example of how things should be done. At times it sounds so intimate it’s like Arthur Russell himself is in the room with you. Experiencing this for the first time was a heavy beautiful experience. Thank you to all involved for this stunning reissue.

Listened to the two discs now and as for the bad, there are only two complaints. Firstly the first track of side A has non-fill noise in the first ~30 seconds. These days this is typical. Pressing plants don’t care about quality as long as the order books are filled. Secondly, there was a fraction of a second digital screech in the middle of D4. Besides this usual low pressing quality and lack of quality control, the mastering and lacquer sounds great. Big open sound, and transparent enough that you can clearly hear the lo-fi origins of the recordings – just as it should be.

Wonderful pressing - feels like a revelation after 5 years of listening to the faulty Arc Light edition
