Edited 7 years agoA superbly diverse array of tracks on this superb EP from the Intalex camp. My two favourites are
'Allegiance' is a haunting, brooding and moody number with psychedelic elements, great samples, and deep throbbing basslines that do the damage. Its slower, stripped back structure gives that bass room to work as it takes you on a journey through varied aural landscapes.
and
'Crooklyn' is a masterclass with its ultra smooth jazz elements, perfectly crafted beats and stunning arrangement.
The other two are very well done also. With 'Randy' Lynx takes things in an altogether different direction with full on funk grooves, bags of energy and a progressive bass line.
'Inferno' is seriously deep and stripped back minimal adventure, with tons of attitude whilst just holding back. Its tight and well programmed.
A top quality release from one of the best labels of the modern D&B era -
a very good EP. a mixture between liquid/soulful and deeper side of dnb. my personal favourite is "Crooklyn".
grab a copy for yourself. this one definitely will be a future classics.
