Sounds amazing to me and I've been listening to this issue for years. A tad amount of surface noise, Its incredibly bright and crisp which is perfect for their distorted guitar tone. I have a heap of records that doesn't
sound this good. -
What’s everyone complaining about? Bought a sealed copy of this recently and, as the first person to hear this record, I’m impressed. Sounds fantastic, and it’s super cool to have this album now. 5 stars. I’ll look into some of the other Capitol Radiohead reissues.

I couldnt sell my copy fast enough. Made my system shrivel up and dry out the mastering here is puny and weak. Cut so low that the Rainbo plant pressing qualities really shone through! Tics, rips, pops galore.... basically a demo disc for why CD was invented!
-
Edited one year agoAfter two heavy cycles in my Degritter ultrasonic cleaning machine, I don’t hate this. But, the end of each side loses fidelity. This album would be such a great candidate for a fancy 45 rpm edition!
-
My copy is is flat but had some distortion and pops on the first listen. Cleaned it and put it in an anti static sleeve. Second listen was clear and pleasurable to listen to, but sonically is a little flat. Still, a classic 90s album from one of the best bands in music history.

Had I known now what I know about Capitol’s ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE mastering and pressing, I never would have bought the whole lot of them. Most of my Radiohead reissues sound terrible with the exception of Kid A and The King Of Limbs, which actually sound fucking amazing. But most are flat, lifeless, and compressed. My copy of Hail to the Thief actually has crackling on the entirety of side B. Anyway, I digress. This album is great but it is ruined by an otherwise appalling pressing. Staying away from Capitol from now on

Have to agree with just about everyone here. One of the worst sounding presses in my collection. Devoid of dynamics and life. How'd they mess this up so badly? Makes you not want to listen to one of the all-time great records.
-
The sounds of this pressing is quite flat. The CD sounds better, hell, even the digital sounds better. STOP FLATTENING EVERYTHING OR PRESSING FROM DIGITAL.

I have to agree, sounds pretty flat and one dimensional. Don't think this is an improvement over the CD, actually sounds a bit worse in my opinion.
