This pressing is stunning.
Initially I heard some distortion on the louder parts, but my cartridge simply wasn’t up to task. Swapped it out for an MC and the sound is just beautiful.
Don’t hesitate - get it while you can! -
my copy is lovely. definitely a little annoying to flip sides every few minutes, but the packaging and sound makes up for it imo. heavy, full-sounding records with no real defects besides a very light warp on each of em (doesn't effect play). there's basically no surface noise and i only found one pop in between the two tracks on side d. the packaging is also amazing, it's a glossy tip-on jacket with a fairly dense booklet and the little plantable code. it even comes with proper rice paper inner sleeves, this is the only record i have where i didn't switch them out for my mofis. it'd be nice if it was colored wax, but considering it's the "audiophile edition" i guess it makes sense. if you can get this for anywhere near msrp id definitely snag.

Edited 2 years agoGreat stuff, the booklet and seed card are a nice touch. Disc 1 plays near flawless on both sides, slight warp but it's so insignificant. Perfectly centered. Disc 2 is slightly off center, which I attribute some of the noise to, especially on side 3. Side 4 plays just fine otherwise.
Don't hesitate to get this, it's quality head to toe.
UPDATE: After a few listens, I want to add that there's distortion in the loud sections especially on A1, but I have a feeling it's a limitation of my AT-VM95ML MM cartridge and not a pressing issue. That's the only "flaw" I can find with release. Your mileage may vary based on the equipment you have. -
The quality is outstanding. Too bad the first record is a little warpy, so you can hear a bit of that.

Edited 4 years agoAdorable analogue music. The whole idea is just fantastic. I’d never heard of Mort Garson’s Mother Earth Plantasia before, I must confess, but I’m happy I’ve just come across this beautiful record with such a fascinating concept behind, and so wonderfully executed. The booklet and the seed card lovingly add to the warmth and melodic instrumentals making the whole experience even more cherished. As for the pressing, it is dead silent. I’d agree with others here whether it was really necessary for this to spin at 45rpm, but after reading so many negative comments on the other editions (pressed by GZ at 33rpm), I do NOT regret going for this one. Do yourself a favour if you can and grab this.

Got my copy yesterday. Amazing sound! Compared both this version and the first green press reissue (ripped from a “mint vinyl” of the original 1976 release) and I must say you can definitely hear the difference. The sound is more clean in this release. Highly recommended. Artwork is gorgeous as well! 5/5

Blown away. Dead quiet vinyl and the sound is so much more fleshed out and nuanced than the streaming copies I have been listening too. I imagine this is the definitive copy. 45 is probably not necessary though.
