Edited 12 years agoHorribly underrated Isis album. It somehow get's lumped in with Absence of Truth, which I it was pretty lousy. I view this as Isis' "alternative" album, it actually reminds me of a heavy Sunny Day Real Estate. As has been pointed out by others, the sound/production on this album is top notch. This review is for the Ipecac cd version.

I can't believe the recording! It's just perfect. I listened Isis for a very long time and I think the changes they done where just right. I know that not everybody agrees with that specially the singing vocals, but with the result of Wavering Radiant makes it all up again. And I think it would be boring if Isis (or any other band) would make the same stuff for eleven years.
Wavering Radiant is a masterpiece. The songs, the recording, the effects and additional instruments. There is nothing that I imagine that could come after this. It's sad and a big loss, but I can understand the Isis statement when they broke up: "ISIS has done everything we wanted to do, said everything we wanted to say." -
FUCKING BRILLIANT! Way better than what I expected. After their relatively bad ''Absence of truth'' album I didn't expect something as good as this. The drumming is improved, the songs are tight and loose at the same time and... it's just ISIS. What they've became known for. The vinyl is a great buy. Check it out if you have'nt yet
