wow! some pretty harsh reviews here. my copy is perfect. I also have the VMP pressing which is mind blowing but this definitely rates high. a little bit of surface noise but tons of bass and warmth. -

My copy plays perfectly fine, no skips. Mastering is ok, 7/10. Maybe adjusting the anti skating option might help. -
Mine definitely skips at the beginning of each side. Disappointed this is the common comment

I love Alicia Keys, therefore I really want to collect all of her albums which I can get. So I finally got this one. Well, not sure. The album, as a music, is fantastic. The inner photo, etc is great, so it looks and feels good.
But there was a scratch on the second LP and it also seem to have some oily thing is on it. This is a brand new copy from Amazon, so I would not really expect that. Or, I might, as I had the same problem with "Songs in A Minor", which is also a J Records issue. For that, I have asked for a replacement but once it arrived it had the same problem. So I think I won't even bother with this album as there's no point. Too bad, because the music is fantastic. -
Awfull MP3 sound.
For sure pressed in a rush from a digital compressed source.
Avoid this cut by all means, a waste of money!!
