Edited 8 months agowtf!! There’s scratches that are audible here!! This is a bummer. But otherwise this is the BEST!!! This pressing ROCKS man.
I think I got a miss-press? After cleaning , some sounds like don’t let it bring you down play with significant noise all the way through
Southern Man and when you dance must be played at MAX VOLUME ! -

it seems that the vinyl remastering is the one You could hear on the 2009 release, or at least the matrix runout are the same.
Could Anyone who has both help out? -
This is an incredible sounding LP. The mix, separation, mastering and vinyl quality are not often seen in one package. Nearly perfect in every way. Whether one is using headphones or speakers, this pressing sonically leaps out with exceptional clarity. I've been listening to this album since I bought the first LP release in 1970 and this version brings life to this collection like no other. A Must-Have.

Edited 3 years agoThe presentation is absolutely top shelf and AAA audio mastering by the deft hand of Chris Bellman and, perfectly flat, quiet Pallas pressing makes this sounds the best I have ever heard this LP. The original $100 price was really ridiculous, but it is well worth the $50 price on Amazon right now.

Hmmm, same runout as the 2009 pressing done by Chris Bellman according to the other listing of this boxset. Both pressed in . Should sound identical.
-
A fantastic release. The LP pressing quality is as good as it gets and the packaging is to die for. This was pricey but it's one of my favorite albums and it felt more than worth it to me. Everything done right.
