a beautiful pressing! i adore the brown, i spent a few months searching for it specifically. i can’t lie, my pressing is kinda noisy— but it’s a very light popping that doesn’t at all overpower the music and isn’t constant. kinda just reminds you that you’re listening to vinyl, y’know? i also imagine it’ll settle some over time, since i literally just got it! side a and d have practically no surface noise, but side b and c have a decent amount. overall, i’m very happy and so glad i finally added it to my collection :)

i had no problems with pops or surface noise - there's some only on side c, towards the end. besides from that, the album itself is gorgeus. billie and finneas never miss.

Edited 12 months agoMPO pressing is not very good. Bad finitions on the edge so scratch at the beginning. For 40€, I waited more quality.
-
Strange noise, predominantly in right channel during quiet (but not silent) ages on both sides of first LP. Second LP has some clicks and pops, but otherwise is very listenable and free of this annoying artifact.
-
Love the artist and the songs and this album. However from and engineering perspective, this recording is awful. The vinyl, bought new, is unlistenable. The buzzing, , and hiss is overwhelming. It's nearly unlistenable. The songs sound good when played digitally and that was probably taken into consideration when recording as most people listen digitally today. That said, I love the songs but this vinyl is awful. I have a high end system for those who suggest better equipment.
-
Very rich bass. There is a bit of static throughout the entire album. Only kind of noticeable during quiet parts like everybody dies and the beginning of happier than ever. It's not the scratchy kind of static but like light crackling.

My copy was pressed by Precision, but other than that it’s the same brown indie variant. I think it’s a repress. Sounds great :)

I’ll never get over the color of this vinyl. It’s so unique and it matches the album cover perfectly. Definitely my favorite variant!!
-
I’ll mimic what many others said; a good bit of noise and pops/clicks. Mainly at the beginning and the end of songs. In my case, it’s worse on side A/B. This album is better when listened to as a whole. I definitely think that the album suffered as a whole because of the singles chosen. Should have led with “Happier Than Ever” and not “Your Power” but I understand why she did. I think think the album could have been a bigger success with different single choices. The ones chosen didn’t do the project justice.
