Edited one year agoBrilliant album. No non static sleeves, standard gatefold. Pressing has minimal surface noise, no discernible distortion, A/B flat, C/D some dish. I compared this pressing to the Tidal CD via my BS Node. The stream has a clarity up loud the record doesn't, but delivers a colder sound as a result, whereas pressing for me sounds clear in the vocals and has that more expansive bass sound you want on a rap record. Yes, it's quiet and, yes, track 1 and 2 don't flow through. GZ's static-y goodness is present but barely audible between tracks. Gold looks more brown!

Someone didn't get the memo that the whole point of splitting an album onto two lps is to use the added room to create a more dynamic and louder mix. This mix is muddy (voices are pushed way back) and very quiet. The bass is excellent, I will give them that. And the pressing is quiet, but all in all they missed the mark badly.

Both discs badly warped. Hole in the second disc too small to fit my turntable (standard Rega P3). This is a joke. Returned to sender.

Like other comments has mentioned, the gap between Down and Talk To Me is unfortunate. Maybe a pinch quiet, but it's all good when you turn up :)

Sounds great, but for some inexplicable reason there’s silence between Down and Talk To Me, where the digital version has a seamless fade. Very odd choice for a physical release
