Did anyone else’s Leche Con Carne come a lil skippy on side A? Justified Black Eye skips a few times but the vinyl looks clean. Just checking if it’s a universal problem or just me.

Don't overpay for this box set folks. As of August 6, 2022 it is still available on Fats site - https://fatwreck.com/collections/colored-vinyl/products/black-box

Mine came within 1 week of ordering and I already listened to all of the records. I skipped putting them through the okki nokki and they all sounded excellent. These days most modern pressings I have to clean first as they come form the press so dirty already.
What a great collection. -
Did anyone else’s box come without shrink wrap or anything? Mine was housed in a very big and loose plastic bag. But the individual records are all sealed. Just thought it was kinda weird that there was nothing keeping it totally sealed.

It‘s really a pity that they sell it exclusively thru the US Store. For European buyers it ends up at about 490€ (inkl. shipping and taxes) rather than 285€ . And that‘s not reasonable any more. Don‘t get it why they don‘t sell it in the European and Australian shop!

After taking time with each record and diving into the extras included here it really is a stellar set that includes basically every nufan track and some wonderful early unreleased material. The inclusion of the compilations 7" tracks and People Suck on Incognito along with the early 7" material and more made this easily worth getting.

Anyone know what the pressing quantity is? I’d guess somewhere around 2500-3000 copies? I can’t believe it’s still available to buy off Fat. Mine is arriving today, very excited.

Just had a flick through the set, all records individually sealed apart from the daily grind. Just curious i any others have come like this. At a guess the plant probably forgot the insert.

excellent set overall from first glance. i’ve only spun “incognito” so far but it sounded flawless. my only gripes are small — i noticed two (maybe three?) different plants worked to press this set, so i’m curious to see if there’s a difference in quality between LPs. second, the box is a little sparse. a little sticker and a small booklet are all you get in the box, *and* the box has no spine text on it. lastly, maaaan why can’t making friends get a variant that matches its cover!? 😭
as a whole though, 100% worth the price of $288 shipped — especially if you’re a fan who for whatever reason didn’t have any of their records yet. 5/5 (so far, but i’ll update)
update: listened to “don’t miss the train”, “daily grind”, “leche con carne”, “making friends”, “more betterness”, live in a dive”, “hard rock bottom”, “keep them confused”, and “feel good record of the year” as well, and they also sound great for the most part — i do get some IGD near the end of both sides of “leche con carne” and “making friends”. also, “feel good record” just sounds consistently muddled throughout. sort of like i’m listening through a wet towel.. and it gets progressively worse through each side (especially so on side A). it’s just really flat sounding. as a whole though i can’t be too disappointing considering the retail price of the whole package. 5/5
