Edited 4 months agoDaydream Nation is the Hello Nasty of rock, and if you have this pressing of Hello Nasty your life definitely doesn't suck.
-
Really good looking set. Only BIG letdown is that massive hop skip and jump on Grasshopper Unit.
How ironic that it’s on that track.
Didn’t see much point in returning as it’s only going to be the same on every other copy I believe.
98% of this album is faultless. Bass is phenomenal !! -
My first play through. The lower end on this copy is SOOO inflated, for me that's a great thing, I don't mind it at all. The original 2009 copy apparently suffered from sibilance. Of course no one listed the runouts so no idea if it's simply a repress or something else, but personally I don't find any sibilance on this copy, if anything I would say it's been rolled off at the top end and massively increased at the bottom. Box itself is the usual high quality from BB, especially love the patch, I love their boxes, they really do feel special.
-
Mine also skips on Disc 4 Track 4 - Negotiation Limerick File. Seems like a pressing flaw that Universal needs to fix.
-
Just opened the copy I bought a few weeks ago and was really impressed with the packaging, discs were spotless and flat and sound great until the big fat skip in Grasshopper Unit. Stylus wiggles like crazy on this side only.
-
I love this edition of this great LP, as the 2 bonus discs run like another album; but I have a glitch on the 'Negotiation Limerick File' remix on the last disc- does anyone else's needle skip across this one track? Everything else plays like it should.
Gonna have to return it which is a shame, as it's my least favourite track of the whole set!
Also, why is there no video version of '3 MC's & 1 DJ' included? It's a killer tune (and video) so I don't understand why it's not here.... -
Great high quality packaging , flat and quiet vinyl , stellar sound. Great bonus material. If you are a fan of this album or the beasties this is a must have .
-
The record sounds fantastic. The first hearing at the right volume gives you goosebumps. The bass massages not only the stomach but also the walls of the neighbours, right from the first track. There is nothing to criticise about this pressing.
