Edited one year agoDo you this magnificent label (XL) in the early 90's, when they used to put out extraordinary 4-tracker hardcore/techno/rave EP's, with only killer tracks inside and no fillers?
It is exactly the same label that made this CRAP release, today.
While ''(It Goes Like) Nanana'' is my favorite track from Peggy Gou, and i would dare to say, probably the best track of the new generation in electronic dance music, XL recordings made a single out of it, without the track on it, but instead only a remix version on the a-side 6:08 minutes with some extra repetitive hooks and some extra sounds thrown in , and a (dub re-remix version) on the b-side, which is totally a different track, a progressive trance remix.
I have heard 2 original versions of this track on youtube, the first one is about 3 minutes (radio mix), and the second one is the (extended mix) that is about 4 minutes long.
None of the 2 original versions of this track is here. This is rubbish.
I will just be waiting someone to release the original track properly on vinyl, on a compilation, or LP, or new 12'' single, or whatever, and not going to buy this garbage.

It's a shame, the song is great but the sound is a disaster.
Maybe it's intentional to sound retro, but I don't like it, Peggy's previous hits sounds good on vinyl.

The song is great, there is no doubt about that. But I have to criticize the singles that are so lacking in substance that they are releasing, specifically this one. Only the extended version and an instrumental version, without playing a radio version or remixes. For that part very bad.

A very good track, definitely defined this year’s summer, you could hear it everywhere; the pressing itself is very good, sound is clear and deep, all the best you can get from a 45RPM… the B side is perfect for a more club style mix
