Ridiculously good pressing. its so so precise, simply gorgeous, perfect.
And I'm the annoying audiophile type. -
Fantastic recording, fantastic music! The bass work is simply gorgeous. Bill Evans tickles the ivories like no other!

Anyone else have a skip during Jade Visions? This is what I get for buying records on amazon I guess...

This is my first exposure to Bill Evans. I held off on the MoFi UD1S, AP UHQR and the giant AP Riverside box. When I saw this reasonably priced version of SATVV I thought it looked like the perfect opportunity to see what all the fuss is about.
This record does have excellent sound quality. For me, the performance is pretty boring though. Highly recommended for fans looking for an affordable alternative. This is enough Bill Evans for me personally. -
This new OJC is good, BUT, the 1984 OJC is just better : you just feel "closer" to the music and you can "follow" the musicians playing together in a more "natural" way. But, again: without comparison the new version is a good deal.

Beautiful release. Nice thick sleeve with quality inner. This and the Waltz for Debby (also Craft Recordings, Original Jazz Classics) are the two best sounding jazz records in my collection. This is the version to get!

Edited one year agoComparatively with KG cohearant (Craft 33) and KG and Hoffman (AP 45) reissues, I personally think the EQ'ing and detail of instruments are more to my liking with this Cohearant audio Craft reissue, but I enjoy the large space, air and dynamics of the Hoffman and Gray AP 45s . Also, I think 45s typically bring out more "atmosphere" so to speak, than a 33 1/3.
All in all, one can't lose on these new OJC's unless you they don't like the music... These are the best you can get unless they upgrade with 45 cuts with the same excellent mastering and pressing. -
-
Zero noise, excellent pressing.. nice packaging of this masterpiece.
Have I said ZERO NOISE? I mean when nobody playing, its absolutely silent. Dark background. With albuns like this, vinil is amazing.. -
That’s a shitty reissue! How is that possible that Bill Evans’s piano reaches a point of saturation? They should fire the engineer in charge of the pressing
