Found this for 120 bucks and it is a bit noisy from use and the tiniest bit warped does not affect play whatsoever but dude it sounds so insane 😭. I concur it is like being in the same room as The Beatles. Wow wow wow wow. I'm so blown away. I own so many different UK, Japanese, German Beatles and this and Magical Mystery Tour are the definitive stereo copies I have heard.

I found a sealed copy of this at one our local shops today. I was super pumped it was not the cheapest but still ok priced with boxing day discounts. Now the bad label on side 1 record 1 is torn in half thankfully it is still within the runout so does not affect play, but there is also some weird clicks on the the very long lead in on side one into back in the ussr like it is only half the intro. other than that it is mint, and maybe a I got lucky with a weird one off copy....lol! It is now in my collection and will not be leaving so I am ok with all the above and it sounds pretty superb other then that, I have not compared it to my mono box version or my mofi, or my several japanese pressings but then again I am not sure i have to. Happy to have this one home now!

Putting this on is an out of body experience. I played Helter Skelter first since it’s my favorite song, and I immediately got chills from how detailed and clear this mastering was. It was like Paul was in reach of me. This is a demonstration record. Although most Beatles records sound good, they never sound like an Audiophile record. -2/-1 Abbey Road has its shortcomings and so does the german Magical Mystery Tour. This, is literally an audiophile record. It’s unbelievable. The only flaw with this record is the noise floor. Maybe I have a dirty copy but my copy is noisy. I need to find a black vinyl pressing of this mastering. All in all, this is the “demo” record you play if you were selling equipment or vinyl to a Beatles fan. I’m so happy to own this. Easily in my top 5 favorite sounding records I own

I own 20/25 different pressing of this album, but probably, of every Beatles album (I know, I'm abnormal), among which, 1st UK mono/stereo, MOFi, 50th anniversary, mono 2014, many UK/EU 80/90's DMM reissues, etc..., but since I've heard/owned this one, I've never had the same sonorous impact, anymore, also comparating to the other ones, this one had, a different equalization, on all the dynamic range.
I don't konw if, an uncredited cutting engineer, have worked on it (re-equalizing a certain amount of frequencies) or it has been cut directly from a 1st generation master without loose any dynamic detail at all.
I'm a musician(drummer), I well know, how a bass drum or a snare drum, have to sound.
It has a lively sound/feel, as if the instruments come out of the speakers! -
Edited 2 years agoIs this *the* pressing of the White Album to own? It's definitely up there. Beats the MoFi hands down. That said, is it worth paying hundreds for? Probably not when you could get a UK original for less. I have a 1984 UK pressing that isn't too far off as well and that can be had for probably a quarter (at most) of what the German DMM goes for. Still, if you are able to get the 1985 German DMM for a good price, snap it up. I got lucky by finding a cheap copy on ebay that the seller hadn't described very well so it's worth looking around.

This is my favorite copy of this album. Anyone notice the numbers/letters in different colors on the top right hand corner of the inserted Paul picture? My DMM copy has one as does my friends. Isn’t on any other Paul photos in other countries. It isn’t pictured here but I’ve seen pictures elsewhere online. Check it out

I recently acquired the 1984 German analog DMM version of the BC13 box set. I was wondering if anyone has has heard that version and this version of the White Album here could post about if there are any differences in the sound quality. Thanks.

Let me put it this way: even the most "difficult" musical ages are rendered here with crystal clear resolution on every single song, every single bar. But it's not like this is a sterile, cold issue - exactly the opposite actually. The drums are the best I've ever heard on any Beatles record *or* CD. Guitars sparkle. Soundstage is insane, too. You won't regret it for a moment (esp. on higher end systems).
