I’ve been a big fan of this record since it came out. I have the “Motherload” reissue and the 2016 Bong Load repress, but finally broke down and bought an OG copy (this).
    1. This is the best pressing I’ve heard. dynamic, great instrument separation, and the bass thumps.
    2. My copy appears black until held up to light where it is a slightly transparent reddish, amber color. Very similar to some Quiex vinyl I have and very similar to the first press Loser 12” on Bongload pressed by Kdisc. I am wondering if all copies of the first press are like this or if anyone out there has a copy that is not slightly transparent. Another entry exists claiming this transparent version is super rare, and I am hoping to determine if that is true.

Classic album and this version is the ultimate. Sound is awesome, perfect songs for a ripper vinyl mix. Stoked I grabbed this vinyl.

I’m trying to figure out what pressing I have. I have two copies of this record. They look like the pictures except both have a barcode on the back cover and no inserts. They have the same etchings (Side B runout says 1660Z Mastered by Y-MIXX L48566-L "The Motherload" BL-12) and are Bongload releases but one has a matte sleeve with “Distributed by Proper Sales and Distribution, NYC” and the other is gloss without the distributed by text.

They have the extra Pay No Mind verse as well. I’m guessing second pressing?

I have what is supposed to be a first press sealed but has a barcode sticker over the shrink bottom left on the back.

The longer track length for Pay No Mind seems to prove it, but can anyone confirm or deny whether this version has the extra verses?

My copy looks like black vinyl, but when held up to a bright light it's a rusty brown/orange.

There are several blue colored UK bootlegs going around Ebay. Anyone have any info on quality?

My Side B runout says 1660Z Mastered by Y-MIXX L48566-L "The Motherload" BL-12
(squiggle) - seems to be an american copy BL12, no mention of David Geffen

Record sounds great. I got a sealed copy with all of the identifiers except the included Bong Load catalogue, but the insert included mailing instructions for the catalogue. I'm not sure if the catalogue is 100% supposed to be in there from the off or not. Would be nice to know for certain, but either way, sounds very nice and am pleased. Though was looking forward to browsing the Bong Load offerings.
