Can't say I'm terribly impressed with the pressing. Was hoping for something more dynamic and punchy than the digital version. It slightly disappoints. Kind of a noisy pressing too.
-
Good pressing, silent, disc 3 slightly warped but nothing too serious. The packaging quality could be better, but it's just awesome to have this album on vinyl. Amazing music.
-
My copy has side F labelled as side E (both sides say side E). Otherwise, no real issues with the sound, amazing album!

The crazy thing about this sprawling set is that any of the three discs could have been released as a standalone album with no further edits or sequencing changes, and it would still be a captivating and worthwhile listen. The fact that it goes on for a full two hours and never drags or clunks makes this a rare specimen indeed. An incredible grower that has satisfied many repeat listens and will remain a cherished piece among underground music enthusiasts for years to come. Just enthralling from start to finish. My black copy did come with some minor clicks and pops but I don't even mind it given the ghostly, ethereal, DIY ethic of the music. The recordings aren't clean so what do I care if the pressing has a small defect here and there? It's all part of the package for me.
My advice? Take any negative criticism with a grain of salt, and believe the hype on this one. This exceptional art is worth your time. -
Edited 28 days agoBy my , they’ve fixed any pressing problems that may have existed with the latest rounds hitting retail stores. I don’t have a single warp, whoosh, pop or tick across all 6 sides. Or I’m just lucky. Ta ta!

purchased in may 2025 at hhv.de my copy is clean, sounds good and is satisfying. i too, like many others, think this album is beautiful and i never get tired of listening to it. i have no idea which reissue i own but it sounds really good. three albums on a single cover, reminded me of "Sandinista", from The Clash. Bye

My copy sounds great! But, the third record is warped (luckily, it does not make any difference to the sound). After a good cleaning, it’s near perfectly silent (minus a couple small sounds on the last side). Unfortunately, three records in one single sleeve is not the best delivery system for records, and that would be my only complaint.

Edited 28 days agoFinally got my copy of this and the A Side is a mispress! Very disappointing. What’s pressed is side A of the Michael Rother record Sterntaler.
EDIT: Superior Viaduct sent a replacement disc 1, so if you have issues reach out to them and they’ll take care of you! Records sound good, but a little warped, play fine. -
My copy also has a bunch of surface noise, usually in the first couple rotations of each side then dies down. Eh, I can live with it, especially when the records themselves sound as good as they do. A sprawling 2 hour masterwork which bounces from genre to genre with each song. Probably something here for everybody, this will be a classic in the future mark my words.

amazing music. Disc 2 & 3 are warped. Side C has 3 significant gashes all affecting play. Going to reach out to the label for a replacement.
