I seeing this record in a giant supermarket when i was a child in the mid 70's. It was side by side with the first transparent Faust LP...
I was like 7 y.o., i was fascinated by Sci-fi aesthetic (it was the times when Star Wars and Alien were on screens). Both of these records were representing the future to my child eyes.
I asked my mother to buy them, we were poor, she said of course no...
Ten years after, i found this one in a second hand shop and bought it without asking questions (i would find the Faust LP a few month later in a cheap sold stock and fulfill my frustrated child request). I still think that the frist listening of this extraordinary composition was one of the first powerful aesthetical shock of my youth.
Suddenly, the radio hits and the whole mainstream culture appeared as a joke to me.
With works like this, one could dive deep into oneself and explore the inner infinity.
It also mde me listen to breaths, birds and radio statics with a new fervor.
And the world felt bigger and more mysterious than ever.
I still love this and find this feelings when i'm listening to this one. Fresh forever, a masterpiece.
