The sleeve is...interesting. Not very cool to display but fun to play with. Definitely don't store this anywhere near your record collection. My copy is quite noisy but probably just needs a good clean. Skipped in one spot. Love the inverted cover art. But not sure I'd pay $70 for it plus shipping again.

Have to agree with everyone, even storing it on my desk or dresser, the liquid just pools on the bottom. It is cool to handle i'll likely leave the package together. Overall I'm happy with it

Yes., this was a big let down for sure, I knew it was a gimmick, but not to this extent, I'm not going to store the record in the this sleeve at all, I'll just break out to show to friends as a novelty. I do feel as this was a bit of let down...

Edited 2 months agoThe record itself is beautiful but theres some scuffs and scratches all over my copy, causing pops and clicks, which is so disappointing. Also, the liquid filled sleeve is supposed to be oil and black blob filled, but instead its just a smaller square of the sleeve thats filled with a very watery solution with black ink inside it. No blobs, just a watery, inky black thick sleeve waiting to burst on your shelf ruining your records. As soon as I got that email notification saying there was a delay for this variant on February 26th I knew it was gonna be bad. Spiritbox and MerchNOW should have seriously fixed this issue instead of saying “fuck it, release it anyway.” Or at least gave the people who paid the most for this variant a signed insert or something 😒 I’m sorry, Spiritbox. I love you guys. But this sleeve design feels like a ripoff and was not worth the price of $71.86 after all tax and shipping. When sitting the record upright in the sleeve, all of the liquid pools to the bottom and creates a big bump full of liquid. I just wanna know what MerchNOW was thinking for giving the greenlight on this.

Pretty cool concept, but I'm definitely storing the liquid sleeve separate from my entire collection lmao. Fantastic album regardless!

The actual record is a 5★ release, but I'm giving this copy 4★ simply because the "water filled sleeve" feature wasn't worth the extra money, imo. It's a cool pressing, yes, but the sleeve makes it almost impossible to store as the liquid bubbles out almost an inch. I imagine if I keep this on my shelf, it's going to eventually leak everywhere. I'm considering just tossing the extra sleeve as I refuse to store the actual record inside it.
