Variations for the purple label:
#1-Purple label with large Capitol logo, has the Capitol script-font logo in the perimeter print: 1977
#2-Purple label with large Capitol logo, has a softer purple background with no Capitol logo in the perimeter print. The perimeter print states "Manufactured in Canada By Capitol Records", 1978
#3-Purple label similar to #2, but has "Manufactured And Distributed in Canada UNDER LICENSE by Capitol Records-EMI...." in perimeter text. 1980
#4- Purple label is noted for the scripted Capitol logo on text perimeter on Side B. Also has the capitol 'target' logo in the deadwax on Side A followed by Wally MASTERED BY CAPITOL. It also does not state "Distributed by" anywhere on this version. On spine: "ER Printed in Canada " followed by the Capitol scripted logo. 2nd catalog number SMAS 2653 appears on rear sleeve, top right corner. Cutting Engineer George Graves as identified in the deadwax on Side B.
Also issued on the Black rainbow/colorband label in 1983.
Comes with cut-out insert.

I've had this cut since I was a teen; never felt the need to 'upgrade'.
Neil Carter initials in runout groove.

Beautiful sounding LP of the original stereo-mix, with nice bass, good fidelity & dead-silent vinyl. 'A Day In The Life' is particularly impressive sounding on this pressing. Another fantastic mastering from TLC.
