Edited 3 years agoGreat recording. Super annoying that there is no full track order listed on the records. Only the names of the songs on the individual inserts. No way to distinguish which order to play the records in unless you know the setlist order or if you look at the matrix to see which side you're playing. There's symbols on the labels that give you a clue (peace, moon, weed, etc.) but without knowing the order of the songs, you wouldn't know which sleeve to put them in or if they got mixed up. It's a petty gripe, but I find it annoying.

Luther Dickinson was also a member of BC during the touring and recording of the songs for this 4 LP album. He played guitars, and mandolin and possibly dobro and/or other stringed instruments. Nobody on any site seems to want to give Luther credits on this...........everybody just wants to repost what they find elsewhere...................

Beautiful vinyl set with really nice sound quality. Warm and dynamic, fantastic recording. The black and white marbled vinyl is stunning and looks amazing. Glad I got this when I did as I see it’s exploding in price.

Edited 8 years agoApart from this being a great album in a lovely box, today when visiting a local media shop I realised there are (at least) two different versions of the LP box set. The annoying bit is there seems to be no way of distinguishing between the two by merely looking at the exterior of the boxes. The version I bought was supplied by Amazon (ordered at the UK site, but delivered by the German wing), and features no print inside the box, which is a bit irritating as the other version has print on the inside with some credits etc. What is more annoying though, is that the one I received from Amazon didn't contain the credit card sized card the other version included, which provides codes for a free of the album. This of course is quite a nice thing to have given that this set is only available as a 4 LP set OR an MP3 version for which you have to pay an additional amount. To me it seemed a very nice gesture to include the free with the LP box set as a fairly pricey nugget for the book shelf.
