Notes

2014 mono 180g reissue. Sleeve is a replica of the original UK release and shows legacy credit of "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." and original copyright for Northern Songs Ltd. Includes custom inner sleeve and cardboard cut-outs insert. Also includes insert with mastering notes, updated copyright/publishing details, and an ad for the Cirque Du Soleil "Love" show.

Artwork © Apple Corps Limited.

This pressing has sound recorded in the B side locked groove: the laughter and the multi-layered collage of randomized chatter that appeared in the reissue of the British pressing (the inner groove starts playing before the needle reaches the locked groove, includes the laughter not heard on the British original pressing, and, once the needle hits the locked groove, the listener only hears the last two seconds of the piece played over and over again).

I cried listening to A Day In The Life. This does not disappoint. I still ordered the new 2025 Mono Box but man, this 2014 pressing is amazing

Hold on before you buy any of these mono remasters: the box is confirmed getting repressed soon. Decent chance we’ll be getting individual albums as well, like last time.

The older guy who prices records at my local store made a huge mistake. I went in and saw this for $30, looked it up on here and realized what it was and then hid my excitement and bought it. The reviews here match. It's simply incredible and I consider myself VERY lucky to have gotten it at this price

I recently sold my minty 2014 Pepper Mono after doing a listening comparison to a 1967 OG UK Mono --the 1967 Mono is better. (The one track that stands out on the 2014 is "She's Leaving Home") but otherwise you're probably better off seeking a UK original at these current prices.

Having heard the crappy stereo version my whole life (instruments on one side, vocals on the other), this pressing is literally mind-blowing! My only issue is that the locked groove has a microsecond of silence which makes the loop incomplete. 9.9/10

Is this very different from the 1981 UK Mono pressing? Thanks!

This is a wonderful edition. Never heard Peppers like this before. I got some other old stereo pressings and the only thing that could be better on this mono press is that the vocals could be more clear and upfront (compared to for instance the 2nd uk stereo press). That being said this album should be in everyone’s collection. Very happy to have stumbled upon this one. By the way: I was more impressed with side 1. Everything just works there.

Such a great recording. Anyone else have a spelling error on the reverse of the sleeve - ‘Benefit of being Me. Kite’ instead of ‘Mr. Kite’?

My favourite album, and one I've never heard sound any better. The stereo remix is a must for when listening through headphones, however.

Sometimes everything just lines up in the universe. I was trading in some CD's yesterday at Zia's out here in Phoenix suburb. First in line, with another guy behind me. Dropped my stuff on the counter, and happened to hear that the guy behind me had about 12 albums he was selling. He said that most of them were Beatles Mono. I engaged in conversation and sure enough he had seven 2014 mono, including MMT , WA, & Sgt. Pepper included. To his credit the guy behind the counter said I could offer the guy money before he sold them to Zia's. So I offered 60 dollars on a mint, mint minus Pepper. He said okay, just like that. He would have gotten 40 from them since they offer 20% on mid price guides. So he made 20 extra bucks and I got Pepper for less than half price mid price range.
