Pink Floyd – The Endless River

I bought this because I'm a completist and liked the box. I found that I already had the bonus (DVD) audio tracks (TBS9, TBS14, Nervana) in my library, but cannot seem to locate where I got them from. Anybody know which version of Endless River or boxset they were originally tagged onto?

This box set consists of a CD, a dvd , a book and three post cards. The only thing that really matters in the end is the music. If you are expecting anything new, innovative or original on this collection then you will probably be disappointed. Yes this was a collaborative effort in regards to the creative aspect of the collection but every track sounds like something you have heard from Pink Floyd in the past. There are elements of "Wish You Were Here," "The Wall," "Dark Side Of The Moon" and even, suprisingly, "A Saucer Full Of Secrets.". Even though this collection is 100% a rehash of everything they have done in the past, post Syd Barrett, it is not an unpleasant listen. The tracks seem more like jams then actual songs and some of the material seems weak for that reason but overall I enjoyed this set more than either of Pink Floyd's post Roger Waters studio albums. They let Richard Wright have more creative input and you can really hear it. Wright was a huge part of Pink Floyd's sound and this collection is proof. If you are a fan of Pink Floyd's older sounds then you should find a cheap CD copy and enjoy it in that format. As previously mentioned this box set comes with a DVD some post cards, and a photo book. One of the post cards is a cool looking hologram but the other two are uninteresting and the book is just photos of the three remaining of the group. In the end it is the music that matters and although the music is unoriginal in style and sound, it sounds more like Pink Floyd than anything released after the mid 1970s.
