Great album which marked the end of the Oils period I loved, when they were just a very, very good surf band. I think Giffo was the driving force behind that early rhythm section that just pumped in small venues.

Picked up mine at a record fair recently. It is signed by the entire band including both bassists.

What a great album. The sound quality is actually really good. It holds up against my ‘audiophile’ collection. Who said Australian pressings are sh*t? Fake news

It’s funny how different people see things differently. I see 10-9-8 as the beginning of the end. The band went from singing tracks about everyday issues for the everyday man to being a mouthpiece for big trendy political statements that teeny boppers could “identify with” (in their little middle class bubbles).

The earlier albums are all better - they are raw and real and not “catering to a market”; they speak to the ordinary toils and feelings of the average joe...

Excellent pressing. Quiet surface, dynamic sound. Definitely get this or similar instead of the remaster/reissue from 2017.
