If u dig organ combos then this is not to be missed, excellent RVG recording and the entire band is tight af! Such a fun listen and like McHomie said not a weak track, definitely a buy and probably needs to be reissued

There are some great grooves on BLACK DROPS, particularly "Letha" and the cover of "Sing A Simple Song", but there's not a bad cut on here, even "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" is transformed into a tight little soulful funky number. This pressing sounds impressive, another beautifully recorded session at the Rudy Van Gelder Studio, with his stamp of approval in the run-out groove. My copy plays nice and clean, with an occasional trace of faint surface noise. Fantastic stuff.

Jimmy Turner's drum break two thirds of the way through on Letha is goddamn incredible. That guy burns up this whole album. Van Gelders work here is masterful as well. Stupendous at high volumes.
