Depeche Mode – Suffer Well

Lousy remark, still - this has been sold as "Still sealed" - but it never was sealed from the start - I bought my copy directly from Mute, not sealed, so, that can only be a way of definitely not knowing what you are getting - or who sealed it for you.

...OK, a word on the music, then! I kind of like the laid back endeavors of Tiga and Jesper Dahlbäck - the instrumental is a nice touch/bonus.
On the flip, there's the Narcotic Thrust (which is an anagram of Stuart Crichton) Dub, which I read at, was it Norman Records' own selling tactics that had this as "80s Rave Music"? which abhorred that reviewer's senses, but it works absolutely fine by me, and it probably worked well at your local pumping disco as well, creating a buzzy dance mood amongst the fuzzed crowd. That is bad to some, I guess. I'm still impressed with the dance thrust instilled to this not so happy and excellent original to begin with.

Seems to be a Bootleg, I guess. Original CD-R looks different.

Excellent remix by Monolake, making good use of the vocals against the atmospheric (and bass heavy) additional production. It's just a shame the press is absolutely awful, as the 7" picture disc is too thick, with the grooves not cut deep enough. Essentially, you're stuck with a very quiet record and shitloads of surface noise. It actually kinda adds to the atmosphere for the monolake track, but totally destroys the metope mix.
