If anyone doesn't want the optical media from their set, I'd be interested in purchasing those bits :)
(I'm located in Australia, but also can arrange freight forwarding for anyone selling in the USA) -
Excellent boxset. I just wonder what 12 means ? There is this number 12 on box sets. What’s stand for? Anyone knows?

Let's be honest here. Most of us bought this because of the autographed art card. As for the music itself, It's a bit of an acquired taste.
This is the man that gave us the original music taking another swing at the fences in his old age, telling a story a second time over with reminiscing eyes. Like it or hate it, It's all the same. -
Live vinyl sounds excellent to me. Haven't listened to the studio vinyl since I had that already. I got #2482 including signed (appears to be authentic even!) print from the EU store.
However, the bluray is having BAD crackling every other beat in most of the songs I've tried and even in the main menu music. It's only in the main menu sometimes however. Is anyone else having the same issue? -
The b&w signed print is NOT numbered, as described here. The booklet is 40 Pages, NOT 38.

Lots of clicks throughout the album. Will try to get it cleaned, but vinyl looks flawless. Bought January 2025.

..."an old dog" closes Redux. Not meant to be clever, or better or even as good. This is for listening, which means accepting before even hearing a note. No one's trying prove anything here, this is music as a language discussing ideas, feelings and reflections etc. We, anyone can do that, and be encouraged to do so, you too have the opportunity to do what has been done with this album. As a side note, this album reminded me of Burt Bacharach's At This Time which I also enjoyed listening to. I get some people don't 'like' this album, that's fine. I'm so into music as a conveyer of truths I really don't judge anymore and my listening experiences have consquently enlarged and nourished me beyond measure.

Edited 4 months agoStarting by saying I'm an older Gen-Z who was introduced to Pink Floyd by my father when I was a young teen. As an adult, I've been bonding again with my dad through DSOTM. I listened through the Redux before I played it for him and didn't think much other than "Not my cup of tea". However, he had the biggest smile on his face throughout. His explaining why he liked it made me see who this was meant for.
He was a young teen when the original came out and couldn't believe more than 50 years ed since then. I quote "Waters reduced EVERYTHING. He made it sound more like a nostalgic jazz album and yet, I can still hear the original version in my mind, even though it is not there."
So, even though I am not the biggest fan of Roger's Redux, I can see the nostalgic appeal for those who grew up with the original. This melancholic remake is almost like a "fill in the blanks" version for those who've known the original for decades.
To be quite honest, it might just be the sentimental value of sharing music, but after listening to it a second time, I started enjoying it much more. -
Edited 5 months agoThis is just Roger trying to take Pink Floyd’s success. He decided to leave the band and that’s his fault. This is what happens when you let Waters take full control. He just sucked the life out of one of the greatest albums ever.
