Jethro Tull – Minstrel In The Gallery

I just picked up a copy at a local used shop to replace a beat up copy I've had for years. I notice some sibilance on the vocals. Anyone else hear this?

We have a Canadian copy. The back cover is misprinted upside down.

Ian Anderson explained that the reverse concept is dealing with playing music in front of an audience from the performers perspective vs watching a concert from an audience perspective.These are 2 totally different experiences.As the lyrics from MITG shows,the performers are watching the audience while the audience watch the performers,So when you flip the record cover,you experience both perspectives.

This 24-bit 96kHz remaster, coming 40 years after its debut, sounds amazing. Steven Wilson nailed it (no surprise there). The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. If you could play the master tape at home any time you wanted this is likely what you'd hear.
Honestly I haven't listened to the live tracks, my comments apply only to the studio tracks.

This is the worst pressing I've ever heard. I don't understand how they managed to press Jethro's this beautifully recorded album so badly.

I've bought 3 copies so far and they were all muffled, low volume and bad. I can't even get into the dynamic range issue. When I play it, I feel like my neighbor two floors down is playing on a bad cassette player and I'm hearing it. When the last Near Mint copy I bought was the same way, I was sure that the pressing was beyond awful.

You can get it to have a Turkish pressing of Minstrel In The Gallery, but I assure you it is not listenable.
