This album has caused much controversy in the Drum & Bass community since the single "Granite" was showcased in early 2008. This album represents Pendulum's "new" sound which is very different to their previous sound. Here, Pendulum have headed in completely new direction which is less Drum & Bass orientated and forms more of a rock/electro hybrid.
Expectations of this album were initially so high because everyone was expecting an advance from their debut LP which was totally massive in the Drum & Bass world. But instead, we were given something very different which many were not expecting.
Get it if you're a diehard Pendulum fan, but don't expect the same sort of material that was on the 'Hold Your Colour' LP. If you're looking for a Drum & Bass album, move straight on from this as it probably isn't worth your time.
