I lucked into this copy at a local shop used. I have an OG pressing, but love all of the recent reissues and couldn’t up the limited gold version. My copy is flat and quiet and like all the other Bowie reissues it sounds fantastic. -
I feel like the gold makes the record get more cracks and pops like my copy after one year of use, even though I took great care of it. Overwise I love it a lot. -
Pretty vinyl and sounds pretty too. Great clean sound. Happy I visited House of Records in Eugene, OR… I wouldn’t have found this. It is a bit prone to surface noise. Probably because it’s a colored vinyl. -
What a beautiful release. My copy looks more like gold marble, with streaks of darker gold throughout, as pictured in the images library above, rather than one color gold. It is flat and plays quiet. I love Bowie's smooth vocals and the overall tone on Young Americans. -
My copy has a little surface noise on side 2. Particularly on B3 left channel.
Aside from that it is one of the best vinyl pressings I have heard. Side 1 is heaven!
Recommended with the caveat of slightly noisy side 2. -

A bit more surface noise than 100% ideal, but it's due to the gold color. And anyway, it's absolutely negligible, better than many other black pressings.

Copy sounds good, mine has very minimal surface noise (that I could tell), but a really excellent copy and love the gold color. -
The sound quality of the music itself is really good, but the vinyl surface can be quite noisy.
