Comes with hype sticker on bottom right hand corner of shrink wrap front: white rectangle with black lettering - 'Official Bowie 75' with the 75 being a trade marked logo to mark Bowie's birthday.
Includes insert with lyrics and publishing details, and a facsimile of the original UK white inner sleeve with rounded corners.
Note that the written by credits on the labels use the artists full names (David Bowie, Brian Eno, Carlos Alomar) and on the credit insert uses surnames only (Bowie, Eno, Alomar).
Runouts are etched.
All Optimal plating symbols may be inverted (e.g., "⊥" vs "T"), and the entire Optimal character string is mirrored (e.g., "1△" vs "△↾").

Edited 3 months agoReally good vinyl pressing, was skeptical at first if it can top the 2017 remaster version, but is really excellent. Becomes very clear on track B2 'Sense Of Doubt'

Edited one year agoI've owned this album on CD and twice on vinyl, and I think this is the best I've heard it. I had the version with Heroes sung in French, which spoils the whole thing. Sometimes, Bowie does sound like he's singing in a tunnel, but maybe it's supposed to sound like he's singing in a tunnel! (Secret Life....its a long tunnel..) The, second side is an amazing journey through a bleak 70's Europe and it sounds great! The sax at the end end of the instrumental sequence sounds so lonely....Cost me £28 but worth every penny.

Edited 2 years agoI have had an unofficial "criminal spearmint coloured" version and an original tatty version. This was by far the best, clean and crisp and so good it shows up the poor studio production. All Bowie repressing's these days are very good provided they are official. Worth a buy. -
Flat, clean, quiet, dynamic. Can't ask for much more. No other releases to compare to ATM, but will edit if I acquire others. Great buy for the price, highly recommend. -
Pleasantly surprised to see that the record is not the same silver from the Aladdin Sane 45th as I had assumed, but is its own nice looking solid grey color. -
Edited 2 years agoA3, B1, B2 -Great, memorable, timeless songs. The rest is just mediocre to awful filler. I'm a Bowie fan too, but not a blind (or deaf) one. I will say that I wish the production on these numbers had a bit more "punch". They sound as if they were recorded or mixed with AM radio in mind.
