Personally, i think to keep the dynamics and the immense bass you have to cut it as quiet as it is. And it sounds excellent. I was impressed with the sound and astonished about the comments here. Really like this pressing.

Edited 4 months agoThird Man is so fucking stupid. This record sounds miserable. They didn’t even try or don't care that the products they sell are not good.

the record itself sounds great fidelity-wise, but it sadly is insanely quiet, turning it up to my normal listening volume usually ends up causing a loop with my speakers sadly
-
This record is cut so quiet. Once you crank the volume it really comes alive. The downside to that is all the clicks and pops get turned up as well.
-
this is actually the worst sounding record i've ever owned, such a shame, had so much potential. great album though

Edited one year agoMy copy is noisy and poppy. Another letdown from Third Man Records. Everything I that have bought from TMR has either been mastered too quiet, has noise and pops, sounds muddy, or is a combination of any of these three issues. It seems to me they are more focused on records as quaint objects rather than sources of quality sound. Even Lazaretto is a circus of spiral gimmicks that, in my opinion, sounds awful to the point that it is virtually unlistenable and cannot be salvaged by its excess of vinyl curiosities.

Does the MOV copy have Queen and Revolve at a lower volume than the rest of the song as well? Have only owned this version so I have no point of comparison
-
is a bit noisy, got a lil better after a wet clean but still a bit poppy. Not skips for me. It's a bologna sammich, not great not terrible.
