A song like this needed remixes, but Madonna doesn-t take any risk choosing the remixers, as a result, the alternative versions are icy like the movie is. Deepsky did well with an explosive pop house mix, so did Brother Brown using original samples for a repetitive, energic, distorted but never boring remix.

Many of these were used for promo purposes and have the front insert gold stamped as such. Also the jewel case had a vertical sticker on the front that detailed remix duties, had information on the soundtrack and release dates for CD and film.

The original mix of "Die Another Day" had the same pop-dance sensibility of "Music," bringing her into the Kylie Minogue fold of the dancefloor, so these remixes should ideally bring the track beyond that level. The only track that really performs that task is Felix da Housecat's "Thee RetroLectro Mix," a buzzing, filtered take on "Die Another Day." The Dirty Vegas remixes dance on the side of decent, while the "Thunderpuss Club Mix" is just a hard listen, in my opinion.
