I don't have the slightest idea why do I come back to this album over and over again. This was the most blatant exercise from Belle & Sebastian to get a bit further from their very quiet chamber almost church pop, getting into pure rock pop territory, and they do that well, but it is just here they do everything well: their classic songs like "Another Sunny Day" or "Dress up in you" are among my favourite of their careers mixing great lyricism and poetry with arrangements and production, uptempo tracks like "We are the sleepyheads" work really well, and they keep on mastering their Motown takes in "Funny little frog" and "Be Myself Completely". They were so at the top of their game here that it is even scary.
