Phenomenal pressing — quiet, huge soundstage, and amazing instrument separation. In 2005, I was busy with newborns and toddlers. 🍼 I this album being a sort of gateway to escape the noise of life. At the time, I did not have a quality system — my only system was a standard issue car stereo, played while speeding down interstates. I am NOW experiencing this album for all it was meant to be and am incredibly thankful.

I'm surprised to see that folks are complaining about the sound. My copy is quiet, flat and the mix sounds great to me. Dynamic and clear. I got this mid 2022 so maybe there's a newer press with these issues? It seems like older reviews all praise this pressing.

Edited 10 months agoSound quality is all over the place. Side A - excellent. Side B track 1 is compressed to hell, and the mix is absolute shite. The rest of Side B is extremely ordinary. The record needs a full remix and remaster - my guess is the album was not well produced / mixed in the first place. Pressing is generally quiet and clean. Inner paper sleeves are junk, and scratch the vinyl.

It is okay. Kick drum sounds great, but it overhelms the mix (Revel M106 speakers; no sub). The entire mix sounds like it exists in the lower range. The vocals come through good enough, but other instruments sound too on top of each other. No warping or ticks/pops on my copy. Press quality is fine, but the mix is lacking.

Good press and release, nice improvement over the original. Doesn't really blow me away as it seems to have others, but a nice release of a great album for a very reasonable price

Flawless look, flawless sound.
There are no tics, pops or surface noise to be heard anywhere. No warps on either of my records, either. My apologies to those who have that problem, but both my records are perfect and sound the same. If you see this reissue, get it. -
Echoing all of the great reviews here, there ARE immaculate pressings of modern rock albums that you don’t have to pay $300 for. Enjoy.
