Edited 11 months agoSpacious, great bass, though the whole recording has a somewhat veiled sound about it. This issue is across all MMJ releases, so it must be a mixing / production style decision. Pressing is noisy - GZ / Precision have not been able to fine-tune lacquer cut / stamper noise, something RTI & Quality have got right.

I have listened to this album a lot over the years and I have to say this release sounds very good. The bass is impressive but not overdone and the mix sounds very spacious. Unfortunately, I bought this used and my copy is pretty scratched up but that's unrelated to the pressing. If you find a good copy definitely but it.

Super tight and punchy! Bass sound deep and Yim's voice is cleaned up with less reverb! great copy!!!

Well, I just dropped my copy putting it on my TT for the first time. Big scratch. On Side A, so this is now a keeper for sure.
Sound is good, packaging and vinyl looks decent.
I'm not sure if this was actually remastered in any way other than to cut it at 45 as I can't find any information on who did it etc. Makes me think it's likely the same mastering as before.
Vinyl is pretty quiet, bass is there, good channel separation and DR. It's maybe a little muddled in areas but sounds fantastic in the more spacious parts of songs.
The bonus is that Highly Suspicious is the last track on A, so you can just flip it over when it starts.

Lovely. Not cream though. More clear. Great press. Listen to it with nothing else around you and zone out.

Arrived in mail today containing 2 copies of LP1 and 0 copies of LP2. I'm relatively positive I won't be the only one with this issue.
